I think I'll probably take about two weeks off Simming. I signed up for a free trial at Ancestry.com and I want to get a lot of work done there before I have to cancel my trial subscription. 'Cause yeah, it's like $200 or something. And guess what? It's as user-unfriendly as an unpatched, un-Pescado'd version of the Sims!
I might get fed up and work on my Sims instead.

Oooo a genealogy project! I did one a couple years ago. And Ancestry.com was helpful but certainly not $200 worth of helpful. Most of my information came from other family members and from the library.

LOL yeah maybe the Baldwins will get some attention sooner rather than later. I swear, Ancestry.com is so damn hard to use! The records are no problem, but the interface is a disaster. I deleted my great-grandfather today, then I duplicated all his children, then I got rid of the extras and put him back in, but he was triplicated and not married to his wife anymore.

Whoah, that's crazy! I never tried to use it for anything other than finding documents. You might be better off using some other kind of family tree website or software.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct, but it was just so tempting to build a tree directly from census records. Oh, well. I guess I could stop bitching about this anytime now . . . ;-)
